This project explores textile design through the theme of the Wild West. I was inspired by its bold energy, rugged textures, and the strong, independent spirit that defines western culture. From leather details to desert tones, the Wild West has a distinct visual style that feels both traditional and raw. I wanted to bring that feeling into my fabrics — creating prints that are nostalgic but still feel fresh and original.

I started by creating a flat repeat pattern in Adobe Illustrator, using classic western elements like cowboy boots, cactuses, and bull horns. I then brought the design into Lectra Kaledo, where I built the repeat, adjusted the scale and layout, and applied the pattern to both knit and woven fabric simulations.

For the woven designs, I focused on bold, structured layouts, while the knits allowed for more movement and texture. Kaledo helped me visualize how the pattern would look on real fabric and generate technical specs, bringing the design to life in a realistic, wearable way.
